August Harp

Assistant Coach

August Harp headshotAugust Harp has been an LMU men’s soccer team member since August 2020. Harp, a former player for the Railsplitters, joined the staff as the graduate assistant coach in the Fall of 2023. He was promoted to a full-time assistant coach position.

In December 2022, Harp received a bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in Marketing from LMU. In 2020, He transferred to Lincoln Memorial and played in the COVID-19 spring season, followed by two full seasons in 2021 and 2022. During his time at Lincoln Memorial, Harp played in 28 matches, starting 18 of them. 

After graduating from Lincoln Memorial, Harp played in two 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup games with NPSL members Appalachian FC in Boone, North Carolina. In the summer of 2023, Harp joined the NPSL team Club Atletico STL in Saint Louis, MO.

Before joining Lincoln Memorial, Harp attended Pearl River Community College in Poplarville, Mississippi, where he played for the Wildcat men’s soccer program from 2018 to 2020 and earned his associate degree.

Harp, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, attended Murrah High School. In 2018, he graduated and was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame. Harp is currently working towards earning his MBA from LMU while serving on the men’s soccer coaching staff.

 


Enrique Fernandez

Assistant Coach

Enrique Fernandez headshotEnrique Fernandez is beginning his second season as an assistant coach at LMU. His first season ended with a record of 9-3-4 at LMU, where he helped the Splitters get to the SAC quarterfinal and coached three All-Conference players.
Before joining LMU, Fernandez spent two seasons at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he captained the team. He was recognized as a River States Academic Athlete in the fall of 2023 and named Chi Alpha National Scholar-Athlete that same semester. He graduated with an MBA from Point Park University.

Before Point Park University, Enrique graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in business management in Spring 2022. He graduated with an associate's degree in Sports Management in December 2019 at Monroe College,.. Before Monroe College in 2017, Enrique signed to play at Jacksonville College out of high school in Jacksonville, Texas, an NJCAA Division I program. During the summers of 2018 and 2019, Enrique played for Houston FC in the UPSL league, and in the summer and fall of 2020, he played for Katy FC in the NSL league.

Enrique Fernandez was born in Houston, Texas, to an Argentinian father, Jose Manuel Fernandez, and a Honduran mother, Leticia de Fernandez. He attended Crosby High School in Crosby, Texas, where he was a varsity letterman on the men's soccer team for four years, from 2013 to 2017. He served as team captain during his junior and senior years and was named 2nd team all-district in his junior year.

In addition to his playing career, Enrique coached at COE Club in Edmond, Oklahoma, in 2022. He earned his Goalkeeping Diploma Level 1 from the NCSAA in 2024 and earned 4 v 4 grassroots certification. In the summer of 2024, he worked alongside coaches from La Masia in the Barca Academy program throughout the Midwest. Enrique is currently pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration
